Indonesain Food - Rawon



Rawon is a menu of traditional Indonesian cuisine, a mainstay of East Java residents who have a lot of fans. This traditional dish called rawon has a form like meat soup with a thick brown sauce that tends to be black. The color of the broth in rawon is produced from the use of herbs called kluwak.

Rawon is cooked with spices that are quite different from other Indonesian dishes so that in addition to creating a distinctive taste, the aroma of rawon is also very appetizing. Rawon which is a culinary icon in East Java is usually served with warm rice mixed with bean sprouts. To add to its sadness, it is not uncommon for people to add chives, chili sauce and lime juice into it.
